Irish schoolboy given detention after no-uniform day unearths three-year old prank

An Irish mammy has revealed her son was given detention three years after the offence, all because of a no-uniform day.

The parent told on Twitter how her son headed to school on the day wearing a Kildare jersey, which alerted teachers to the fact he may have written "Kildare for Sam" in the toilets three years prior.

And after being pinned for the graffiti, the kid was given their first detention ever, according to the mother.

She tweeted: "The child's school had Jersey day in aid of charity today. He rocks up in a Kildare jersey.

"Thanks to the jersey, they've just realised that he's the one who wrote 'Kildare for Sam' in the toilets 3 YEARS AGO and he's gotten his first detention ever! I *swear* I'm not laughing."

Many questioned if the punishment was unfair, but the child was unbothered according to his mam.

She added: "I would agree but himself is delighted and has achieved cult status in the school so I'm leaving it be Because I can't stop laughing."
