Irish Rail services suspended between Drogheda and Connolly due to 'tragic incident' on train line

Irish Rail has suspended its services between Connolly and Drogheda following a "tragic incident" on one of the lines.

An alert was put out at 2.30pm on Monday afternoon to the public about the incident.

Emergency services remain at the scene in Donabate.

An Irish Rail spokesperson has said that "Northern Commuter/Enterprise services are suspended until further notice between Drogheda and Connolly. Emergency services are attending to a serious incident on the line.

"Enterprise expected to operate with bus transfers Connolly - Drogheda. Enterprise expected to operate with bus transfers Connolly - Drogheda"
