Irish Rail searching for owner after dog catches train from Newbridge to Heuston Station

It seems that dogs from Kildare really have a thing for Dublin!

An adorable little pooch has decided to go for an adventure, and boarded a train in Newbridge that was headed for the capital.

Irish Rail are now searching for the little dog's owners and are keeping him safe and sound in Heuston station.

Irish Rail said: "Another lost dog on the Kildare line!! This little lad boarded this morning at Newbridge, but is being looked after by Heuston staff at present. Can we find his owners?"

The beautiful terrier seems to be well cared for so we're sure his owner will come forward soon.

It's far from the first time a dog has made their way onto an Irish Rail train and headed off on an adventure.

Last month, and ended up in Ashton pound.
