Irish Rail issue warning as trains to and from Dublin completely sold out for All Ireland hurling final

Irish Rail has issued a warning to passengers ahead of Sunday's All Ireland Hurling Final clash between Cork and Limerick on Sunday.

Trains to and from Dublin from the two cities are completely sold out on Sunday with no tickets left for many of the Saturday services heading to the capital.

Posting on Twitter, Irish Rail warned those heading to Croker that they will not be able to get a train ticket on the day of the match.

They said: "All trains sold out to/from final. Tickets will not be available at station.

"Tickets only valid on specific train booked."

Irish Rail is currently operating at 75% capacity and face masks are mandatory on board.

They have also reminded passengers that drinking alcohol is prohibited on Irish Rail services.

40,000 people are due to attend the clash in Croke Park between the two Munster counties on Sunday, the largest attendance at any sporting event since the pandemic began.
