Irish Rail finds Hamish the dog's owners - and his real name is very different

Irish Rail has found Hamish the dog's real owners, and discovered that his actual name is Tyson.

The adorable pooch had quite the adventure yesterday, taking the 8.46am train from Sallins, Co Kildare to Heuston Station in Dublin.

Irish Rail launched an appeal to help track down his owners, who the found this afternoon.

They tweeted: "Hamish update! His owners have been found! His real name is Tyson!

"He’s getting chipped by @MyLovelyHorseR so if he goes a wandering again, he can be found Family reunion TBC

"The movie rights are exorbitant! Thank you to everyone for spreading the word!"
