One popular Dublin pub has shared its reopening indoor plans for the summer in a surprise announcement on Twitter.
The Managing Director of city centre bar and restaurant Lemon & Duke Noel Anderson has outlined plans which would see his establishment fully reopened - and he believes it's something that could work for all boozers around the country.
Noel Anderson, who is also the vice-charman of the Licensed Vintners Association, tagged Taoiseach Micheal Martin and Tanaiste Leo Varadkar as well as Health Minister Stephen Donnelly in his post suggesting that indoors should be used to serve those "fully vaccinated".
Mr Anderson said: "If hospitality is to start outdoors, wouldn’t it be great if the inside was used for the vaccinated elderly.
"It would give them all a welcome change and also help the business survive and rebuild. A win-win."
He added: "There has been some reaction to this. I would think by the time outside is a runner, the over 55s would be well vaccinated by then and also we would include frontline workers too."
It comes as sneaky punters spotted a loophole over the weekend to enjoy tasty pints despite the Level 5 lockdown and a Taoiseach warning on takeaway pints.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin warned earlier in the year that people should "forget about takeaway pints" but there is one flaw to the unofficial rule.
A legal loophole has allowed Dublin pint lovers to still get takeaway drinks if they adhere to one rule while drinking them.
In order to drink your takeaway pints outside and in parks legally however, the porter must be sipped on more than 100 metres from the place it was pulled.
