According to the latest government roadmap, pubs can start serving people outdoors in June, subject to the Covid numbers.
All being well, outdoor services can resume with groups limited to six people at pubs and restaurants in a few weeks time.
In good news for the industry, the €9 substantial meal rule has been scrapped. It's hoped that pubs which don't serve food will be allowed to open in July alongside indoor hospitality.
