Irish pubs: The pints and drinks to choose for low calories and the one to really avoid

February is here and for many that means this weekend will be there first time back on the drink after a successful 'Dry January'.

But if you're after shifting a few Christmas pounds and don't feel like putting them on, drinking could be a bit of a worry.

While some trips to the pub are inevitably going to add some calories to your daily intake, your choice of drink can actually make a huge difference.

Some pints are far more costly when it comes to calories than others, while spirits also vary in the amount.
