We have come across thirsty punters spending a mouth-watering amount on pints while out for grub since the reopening of pubs that serve food in Dublin but this is a different beast entirely.
The weekend was in full swing at The Old Mill on the Old Bawn Road in Tallaght as a small group of four girls went out for dinner and a few drinks which - like Saturday nights out for most groups pre-coronavirus - turned into a bit of a heavy outing.
After munching on steaks, goujons, chicken wings and chips and catching up over a bottle of wine and a few gins, someone had the bad/good idea of getting in a round of shots for the table.
And as is the unwritten rule in Irish drinking law, if your friend buys you a shot, it's only common courtesy to get them one...or three back.
After 23 shots, ten redbulls, three Beefeater gins and a bottle of wine all in 105 minutes, the gang were left to fork out a bill for €265.50 which was split between the foursome.
One of the girls in the round told us: "They were double drinks so not actually single shots together.
"They were double aftershocks and Red Bull thrown in with the odd few shots of baby Guinness. A personal favourite of ours and very tasty."
She added: "We love The Old Mill. It's our local and it's a great spot. It was also lovely to catch up with the girls properly again.
On Friday, we came across a small party of five who swamped through a huge amount of sauce in the time limit given before being handed out their bill that certainly brought on a quicker hangover than they were expecting.
In the hour and 45 minutes at their disposal, they hoofed through: 15 pints of Guinness; 8 pints of Bulmers; 5 Graffinga Pinot and 1 Sav Blanc.
These of course were washed down with some delicious grub from the Camden Street watering hole with steak, pizza, tenders and fish and chips all munched on.
All of the above coming to the grand total of €254.70
Delighted to be back in their favourite Dublin haunt The Camden, Shane 'The Dog Dancer' Coppinger told Dublin Live that they were already making plans for a similar dinner date over the weekend.
He told Dublin Live: "Oh I suppose, we've been planning our return to the Dragon's Den (their nickname for The Camden) for a few weeks now since we heard the news of the reopening.
"The minute we came up to the doors, we started getting excited, we were thinking 'yes, we're back! Enter the Dragon!'.
He continued: "We'd be suck calves for the auld drinks but we're hoping to add a few Jager-john-bombs to our next list when we come back over the weekend."
'Cop' was left with the bill as his friends transferred on the money but he didn't mind opening the wallet.
He added: "The gargantuan bill was worth every single penny."
Yesterday we revealed how receipt from the Black Lion pub in Inchicore has emerged from Monday and it seems that Dublin could be at risk of a Guinness drought if trends continue.
Not only was over €100 spent on food to ensure everything was within health guidelines, but there were 66 PINTS of Guinness ordered, along with six pints of Heineken - some very thirsty customers indeed!
The tasty and clearly very missed drinks, which come at €4.70 a pop for Guinness and €5.20 for Heineken, cost a whopping €341.40 on their own - and with the food added, the final bill came to €465.70.
Meanwhile a receipt from a hotel bar in Co Meath shows how one punter spent a staggering €220.90 during their 105-minute stint in the boozer.
The pricey round consisted of two bowls of soup, a portion of fish and chips, two cokes and a leg-buckling 42 pints of Guinness.
