Irish pubs closed: Popular Dublin bar stuns punters with 'closure update' despite new rules

One popular Dublin bar has stunned punters releasing a closure update for indoor dining despite Government's new rules.

Pantibar has confirmed that in light of cabinet's decision to allow indoor dining services from Monday, theirs will not resume until all their staff are fully vaccinated.

Pantibar and Pennylane will remain shut inside but customers will continue to be welcomed to their outdoor spaces until a reverse decision is made.

They said: "Right now, most of our young staff are not fully vaccinated and with their safety in mind, for now, we will not reopen indoor services."

They added: "Hopefully in just a couple more weeks, most of the staff will be vaccinated and we will reopen indoor services then."

Meanwhile, a popular Dublin business has decided to no longer open on Sundays so that their staff can "live their best Saturday night lives".

South William Street nail bar, Tropical Popical confirmed that this Sunday will be the last Sunday they will be open for business.

The move will allow staff to enjoy family time, have a night out with friends or even just enjoy the sun.

From now on the highly acclaimed nail bar will only be open from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

They tweeted: “This Sunday is the last Sunday we’ll be open.

“After that, we’ll only open Tues-Sat.

“As we always say, create the life you want to live.

“We want out staff to live their best Saturday night lives.

“We want family lunches on the agenda.

“We want to enjoy sun on Sunday.”
