Another popular Dublin business has been forced to close its doors after a staggering 20 years due to the current pandemic.
Indian Takeaway Green Masala - located on Kimmage Road West near Ashleaf Shopping Centre - confirmed the news to hungry customers looking for their regular fix at the eatery this week.
The corner-takeaway announced that two decades of business was now gone for good leaving just a heartbreaking note on the door thanking people for their years of custom.
The note reads: "Dear customers, unfortunately after 20 years of business, we are sad to announce the permanent closure of our takeaway.
"This pandemic has been tough on us financially resulting in this very difficult decision made to close the takeaway.
"We would like to thank everyone for their custom over the last 20 years.
"We wish each and every one of you all the best in the future.
"Thank you all once again for being part of our journey."
Under Level 3 lockdown guidelines, people living in Dublin are advised not to travel outside the city and there can be no outdoor gatherings of more than 15 people.
But worryingly, one expert has warned that Dublin could plunge into a state of level 4 or 5 if cases continue to rise.
Here's what Level 4 and 5 would mean for other restaurants who may be plunged into a similar position to Green Masala.
Level 4
- Household visits - banned
- Indoor gatherings - banned.
- Sports events without spectators would go ahead.
- Further travel restrictions possible
- Schools and colleges would remain open but with restrictions in place.
Level 5 - (Same as lockdown restrictions experienced in March and April)
- Travel restricted to 5km radius of home
- No travel to work allowed
- No indoor or outdoor gatherings
