An Irish pub was targeted by an alleged arson attack in the early hours of the morning.
The incident happened at a premises in the Corcreaghy area of Co Louth.
Officers rushed to the scene at around 1am on Friday morning.
However they said that nobody had been injured in the incident.
Investigations are now underway to discover the source of the blaze, but nobody has yet been arrested.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a suspected criminal damage by fire incident that occurred at approximately 1am on Friday, 23rd July, 2021, at a premises in Corcreaghy, County Louth.

"No injuries were reported during this incident.
"No arrests have been made to date in this ongoing investigation."
