It's been a whirlwind 24 hours for businesses since the launch of Phase 3 following the Covid lockdown - in particular for Dublin's pubs, hotels and of course hairdressers.
We've seen plenty of ingenuity from hard-pressed services as they scramble to make up for lost time - and profits - in this most challenging of times which has sadly seen some go to the wall.
But on a brighter note, we're a resilient lot us Dubs, and all we can do now is strive to return to normal, fight to get back on the horse and do it with the humour and wit for which our city is famous.
Alongside woolly-looking men and root-betraying long-locked women queuing for their first haircut or salon appointment in close to four months; and crazy bar receipts as punters flock for their first slew of pints since lockdown, it's been a frantic few days for the city - and country's - businesses.
Many pubs have had to think outside the box as they toil to return to normal - take for example Phibsboro boozer McGowans' smart use of internal phones to keep mingling going amid social distancing measures.
However, a simple sign outside another famous Dublin institution takes the biscuit - Dublin Live reports.
Buswells Hotel, that famous haunt of politicians on the corner of Molesworth and Kildare streets, opened their doors yesterday like many other pubs and hotels in the capital.
But the sign they have outside the front door takes first prize for both humour and capturing the mood of businesses from Dublin to Cork to Donegal.
It simply reads: "Customers wanted. No experience necessary."
Let's hope that punters take them up on their offer - they certainly deserve it with such a novel and quirky call to arms.
