Irish pub abroad roasted over hilarious sign blunder

An Irish bar in Cyprus is being roasted on social media after one holidaymaker noticed an epic fail.

The pub is the butt of numerous jokes after its owners' attempt at an authentic sign 'as Gaeilge' resulted in a hilarious blunder.

In a picture posted on Reddit, the front of the premises can be seen.

But instead of saying 'Ceol agus Craic', the pub's name is 'Ceolagus Craig'.

The photo is captioned: "Was in an Irish bar in Cyprus last night where they didn’t quite have a grip on the Irish language."

People have been sharing their hilarious reactions to the image, with some speculating it could be a clever marketing ploy.

One person said: "Maybe it's owned by Craig and he likes music?"

To which someone replied: "That's it, if the owner's name is Craig then that name is genius."

Someone joked of the Irish translation: "Nah, that’s just the Cypriot dialect."

Another questioned: "How was the Cuinness?"

"Someone needs to open a pub called the Spacebar next door," another jokester said.
