Irish private school students allegedly mock LGBT classmate chanting 'for he's a jolly good f****t' in video

This footage shows a gang of up to 10 private school students in Dublin allegedly mocking a LGBT classmate who had just courageously came out as bisexual.

In a video posted on social media, the teens can be heard chanting "For he's a jolly good f****t" repeatedly to the tune of well known song 'for he's a jolly good fellow', Dublin Live reports.

One of the young men in the video is seen wearing a rainbow-coloured flag - a symbol used by the LGBT community across the globe.

It is understood the group behind the video are not friends with their classmate, who had made the brave decision to come out as bisexual, and the short clip was not posted in support of his decision to come out about his sexuality.

One student said they were shocked after viewing the video and said the issue needed to be highlighted.

They told Dublin Live: "The people behind this video are by no means friendly or friends with the boy who has just come out.

"The whole school is in shock over this. And it's something that needs to be dealt with quickly."

"This type of thing is such a pressing matter that tends to get overlooked in all schools with minimal effort and support being put in place to help those of the LGBTQ community."

The school has been contacted several times regarding the video.
