Irish pop band Six reunite 20 years later - where are they now?

Irish pop band Six reunited over the weekend, and former member Sinead Sheppard shared a photo of the group on a night out.

While they weren't performing their classic hit, the gang posed for a photo together 20 years after the band first formed in 2002. Sinead shared a pic of herself with Emma O'Driscoll, Kyle Anderson, Liam McKenna, Sarah Keating and Andy Orr.

The group appeared to be celebrating the band's 20th anniversary with Sinéad posting on Instagram: "20 years of Six and still smiling. Beyond grateful"

Six was brought together in 2002 through the hit TV show Popstars, which saw their single There's A Whole Lotta Loving become the fastest-selling single in Irish music history. Nadine Coyle was famously selected for the original band, however she was kicked out after it was discovered she had lied about her age and was only 16 when the minimum age was 18.

Of course Nadine went on to compete in Popstars The Rivals over in the UK and joined Girls Aloud, the biggest girl band of the 2000s. Unfortunately Six didn't see the same success, and disbanded in 2003

So what are the members of Six up to these dates?

Sinead Sheppard

Sinead may not have become a massive popstar as she once hoped, however she has had a very successful career to date. She was elected the Mayor of Cobh, Co. Cork in 2012 and is currently a member of Cork County Council. She is now married and a mum to three boys.

Liam McKenna

After the brief success of Six, Liam stayed close to Louis Walsh, and worked behind the scenes on The X Factor. The Tyrone man also wrote a weekly column for the Irish Daily Star on all the X Factor gossip. In 2010, Liam took on the job of managing Jedward, and even co-starred in their television series OMG! It's Jedward. While he ditched Jedward after two years, he stuck with the music industry and went on to manage Irish boy band Hometown, as well as Westlife's Shane Filan.

Kyle Anderson

Kyle stayed working in the entertainment industry and presented a TV show on Virgin Media called Activity Breaks in 2006. He then went on to work behind the scenes and is now an assistant producer in Northern Ireland at documentary-makers Wadell Media.

Andy Orr

Andy continued dabbling in music for a while, but soon found a new path working in finance. He became an equity finance trader and is now a director EMEA Trading Tesk Head at BlackRock based in London. He has been working at the company for 16 years.

Sarah Keating

Sarah replaced Nadine Coyle last minute, however many considered her to be the best singer in the group. Sarah went on to become a journalist, working as a researcher for Newstalk in Dublin. She later became a presenter at Phantom radio and then moved to the UK to become a researcher at BBC Radio 4. She is also a mum to little boy Aidan.
