With the EuroMillions jackpot being over €72,000,000 on Tuesday evening, the amount of entries across Ireland is surely to have risen.
And one of those entries came just one number away from scooping that massive amount.
Tonight's numbers in the main EuroMillions draw were:
17, 21, 23, 45, 46, with the lucky stars being 07 and 11
In total, over 43,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games including one winner of the Match 5 + Lucky Star prize worth €193,278.
Which is a nice consolation when one more number would've multiplied their winnings 300 times over.
There was no winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize.
The numbers drawn were:
08, 18, 24, 36, 44
