Residents were recently surprised by a visit from their local pipe band on their doorsteps.
The Gorey Pipe Band is now taking new weekly trips around housing estates in the Co Wexford town.
To accommodate social distancing guidelines, the group meets up and parades two metres apart as a means of practising music together as a band.
Meadow Gate residents were the latest neighbours to see the show and John Cullen of the Gorey Pipe Band said that the reaction they received was fantastic.
He added: "Meadow Gate is a massive estate but most of the people were out in the gardens or on balconies to see us.
"Last year we did a big fundraising drive and the people of Gorey were very good to us so this is just something we’re doing to give back and perk up spirits.
"As a band we’re using it as practise and as a get together once a week."
The weekly neighbourhood is chosen over the weekend by the band and it comes as a surprise to most of the residents when they see and hear the band coming.
"It’s great to get back but we’re only two weeks in. In the first week we did Garden City and came up Eire Street. We haven’t decided where to go next," said John.
Although Gorey Pipe Band had big plans for 2020, unfortunately the competition season was cancelled in March.
John explained that mid August would have seen the World Championship competition take place in Scotland, and the band would have been preparing for that in ordinary times.
