Irish pharmacy's heartwarming gesture to customers goes viral

An Irish pharmacy's heartwarming gesture has gone viral online as they bid to spread some festive joy to customers this year.

While Christmas may be right around the corner news of further restrictions has definitely put a sour note on the festive celebrations.

But one Irish pharmacy is still finding a way to spread some joy to its customers in what might be the most Irish gesture ever, reports Irish Mirror.

This week Keira Gilleechi shared a photo of an adorable little treat that an Irish pharmacy is giving to its patrons right before Christmas.

In a photo posted to Twitter Keira showed off festive 'prescriptions' that Crosshaven pharmacy in Cork have been dishing out.

But instead of medicine in the bag, is a selection of an Irish favourite, Cadbury's roses with a set of hilarious dosage instructions.

The tag reads: "Take one three times daily. Take one with a cup of tea."

Posting the photo online Keira captioned the post: "My aunt just got given these in her local pharmacy and honestly this is yet another reason why I need to move to Cork."

The post quickly went viral with over 40,000 people liking the photo on Twitter.

And fellow Twitter users had some brilliant reactions to the lovely gesture.

One said: "This is the most Irish thing I’ve ever seen

Another joked: "That seems like a dangerously low dosage."

Meanwhile a third added: "I especially like the 'keep out of reach of children' on the sticker."
