The vast majority of Irish Mirror readers do not want Isis bride Lisa Smith back in the country, a new poll has revealed.
The survey found that those in favour of banning the 37-year old ISIS supporter from Ireland outnumber those who want her back by a massive ten-to-one.
Well over 11,000 people took part in the Facebook poll and within just five hours of it going live and slightly over 10,000 voted to keep Smith out while just 851 believed she should be allowed home.
The Irish Mirror’s Facebook page asked the simple question: “Should Isis bride Lisa Smith be allowed to return to Ireland?” and the answer was a resounding “NO”.
Most of those who responded claimed that the former Irish soldier Smith made a conscious decision to travel to join Isis in Syria and was fully aware that the Islamic terror group was involved in mass murders and rapes.
Very few of who took part in the poll had much sympathy for Smith who is now stuck in a hell-hole refugee camp on the Syrian/Iraq border.
“Leave her where she is, no one asked her to go. The Government should spend the money on the homeless and the health care. She went there so leave her there”, said Anna Sheehan.
“No way!!!! She knew what she was getting into”, said Sean Donohoe.
Ursula Lynn recommended she seek refuge in Brunei which has introduced Sharia law allowing the stoning to death of gay people and adulterers.
She said: “She can seek asylum in Brunei. They have implemented some of ISIS’ values.”

Bernie Cahill Goldrick said Smith should be kept out but her young daughter should be allowed into the country adding “No she shouldn’t, but let her child come back & maybe her parents look after her”.
Peter Callan said that if Smith came home she could end up a celebrity.
He wrote: “She’ll be welcomed with open arms... Will appear on the Late Late show.. Will be given a house to live in maybe a book to be written too... What a great wee country we are.”
Yvonne Smith said the Isis bride should be allowed home but she should have to make her own way here.

Pat Flanagan column: Leaving troops to rescue ISIS bride Lisa Smith is plane crazy
She said: “I can’t see how we can refuse her entry back to her own country, but we definitely don’t have to help or pay for her return.”
Mary Horgan said: “She made her choice in life now she should live with it just because it didn’t work out the way she thought it would why should she be allowed back if it did work out she would not be looking to return home let her stay there and take what coming to her.”
A small minority of these polled felt that Smith should be allowed home with Valerie O’Brien asking: “If it was your grandchild and daughter what would you do, it’s not only about her.”
Alan Layng said: “We have freed IRA terrorists I believe she is a citizen so at least deserves her day in court before we deny her some basic rights. Does the Government simply take away her citizenship? Slippery slope when we deny someone their day in court.”
This week it was revealed that Smith, from Dundalk, Co Louth, and her young child are now desperate to escape from the squalid refugee camp.
