Irish people left in shock as man gets ‘full tank’ of petrol for just 36 cent at Dublin petrol station

Many motorists have been left confused after one man took to the internet to show his incredibly cheap fuel top-up, totalling just 36 cents.

The cost of fuel nationwide has been fluctuating for months on end now, but many are reporting a welcome downward trend in the price.

Despite the few cents drivers are saving now, compared to a few months ago, no one was prepared for the absolute bargain one driver landed.

A man took to Reddit to reveal that he managed to land presumably the cheapest fuel in the country this morning.

In a video posted to the site, he shows footage of the pump which indicates that he put 36.46 liters in his vehicle for just €0.36 at a Dublin Circle K garage - that equates to a shockingly low 1 cent per litre.

In the post, he said he took the video at 7:35 am on January 1, 2023, and said: "Just got a full tank for 36c”.

He went on to say that he didn't even notice his mega savings until he got back into his car.

"Paid at the pump because I use a DCI card. I didn't even notice it until after I'd paid. Guess it's gonna be a good year,” he said.

People flocked to the post with most saying he was a lucky man in these times to have bagged a bargain.

One person wrote: ”That's hilarious, I wonder if someone set the end date for the price as 31/12/2022 23:59 and it just ticked over to a default value at midnight”.

Another commented: “I assume the location is a closely guarded secret”.

A third said: “Ah brilliant, very lucky day! Happy New Year”.
