Irish people in shock over chicken fillet roll price described as 'outrageous' and 'worst they've seen'

People have been letting their thoughts be known after one person shared the "outrageous" price being charged for a chicken fillet roll.

The individual said the €7.50 being charged for a roll with three fillings was "the worst I've seen yet".

Irish people have reacted in horror to the high cost of the beloved lunchtime favourite.

Reacting to the post on the Reddit Ireland forum, one social media user described the price as "outrageous".

A second said: "You could buy a chicken for that."

A third commented: "The end of days."

Another person said: "This can’t be right."

Someone else chimed in: "I'd want chips with it for that price."

However, one pointed out that the price being charged was to get the item delivered rather than collecting the roll from the deli counter itself.

This means that the higher price would take account of additional service and delivery charges.
