Spotify’s round-up of people’s listening habits in 2021 has dropped and the reaction in Ireland has been hilarious.
Irish people have been taking to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to either boast their impeccable music taste, or admit to sheer embarrassment over their round-ups.
In a post on Facebook, one person wrote; “Well lads Spotify Wrapped is here and I feel fiercely called out by them, how did the rest of you get on?
“I got my stats and well apparently I'm in the top 1% of Irish listeners who listened to Imagine Dragons constantly, I think I might be a wee bit obsessed.”
It seems that other Spotify users feel the very same about their listening habits being shown to them, as one person wrote on Twitter: “This is just a PSA to let you all know that I can’t physically share my Spotify Wrapped list… it’s THAT embarrassing.”
A second person wrote: “Is there any way to edit my Spotify Wrapped…. ITS THAT BAD...I feel SEEN.”
A third said: “I don’t know whether I should be embarrassed by this or what. These were the songs I had on repeat this year.”
“I'm embarrassed that I listened to "Daddy" so many times it became my top song…” another wrote.
A fifth person admitted: “My music taste is actually so hilarious and I didn’t even realise… Gna go question my taste in literally everything else now. Thanks Spotify.”
