Irish people blown away after discovering what MiWadi stands for

Irish people have been astounded after discovering what MiWadi actually stands for.

Up to this point in our lives, we were happy with just having 'it's not your wadi, it's MyWadi' in our folklore as an unofficial motto for the country.

Who among us didn't enjoy a refreshing glass of the dilute drink while growing up in the last three decades?

We didn't have to think about what it meant - and going off one reddit post on the Ireland page, not many others were aware.

In case you're curious, MiWadi takes it's name from Mineral Water Distributors.

The company was formed in 1927 in Nassau Place in Dublin, and produced C&C and Club at the time, alongside MiWadi.

MiWadi (MiWadi Ireland)

It was made in the second floor in the Syrup Room and then filed downstairs.

This fact was relayed to r/Ireland by a user called bertie4prez and it was a shock for a lot of users in the replies.

One reply said: "It's not your wadi, it's MINERAL WATER DISTRIBUTION's wadi".. yeh I can see why they didn't use that name alright", while another added "This is the stuff I come to reddit for."

A third commented "Some of the magic has gone out of the world a bit with this knowledge." with many agreeing with that particular point including someone saying "I think I was happier before I found out this information"
