Parents are being alerted to a number of children’s toys which have been deemed unsafe for use and have been sold in Ireland.
From choking hazards to dangerous plastic packaging posing strangulation fears, there are several toys up for recall.
The advice is the same across the board; parents should cease using the products and either bin them immediately or contact the seller for a refund.

Amazon toys
A safety issue has been identified with certain toys sold on the Amazon platform.
The risk presented by these products is choking as the products do not meet the relevant safety standard. These products contain small parts.
These small parts may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, causing a young child to choke.
The first product included in this recall is the Yeqivo Giant Teddy Bear which is a large white plush bear with a tie.
The brand is Yeqivo and the ASIN number is B08TTK7C2X. Officials confirmed there were around 112 sold in Ireland.
The second product included in this recall is the RoterSee Easter Wooden Egg Shakers Maracas, which consists of various wooden, multi-coloured egg shaker toys each containing a small ball.
The brand is RoterSee and the ASIN number is B09LQ3YJW5. The batch numbers and barcodes for the above products are unknown.

A safety issue has also been identified with the Excellently Trading Animal Farm toy piano sold on the Wish platform.
The risk presented by this product is choking. Small parts are created by detachable components. These small parts may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, causing a young child to choke.
The brand is Excellently Trading. The Wish ID is 54f5c34a6f705c33c825495a. The model and batch number are unknown.
This product was sold on the Wish Platform.
There are approximately 411 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

The risk presented by this product is asphyxiation as the flexible plastic bag used for the packaging itself causes the danger.
