Women in Ireland can avail of free contraceptive pills by signing up to an online pharmacy service.
Healthwave is offering the medication to those with prescriptions for no cost - after paying a €25 membership fee.
Members will be able to receive one of six versions of the pill, and save up to €50 a year, according to Healthwave.
Director Catherine McNicholas said: "Our goal at Healthwave is to simplify access to medications.
"We are delighted to be the first pharmacy platform to offer a free contraception service and take the lead on this issue.
"This is a service that makes accessing contraception both easier and affordable for women in Ireland and is one of many exciting initiatives planned for our members."
The company launched the initiative in an effort to bring Ireland in line with other countries around the world who already provide contraception to citizens for free.
Healthwave, founded in 2013, says membership will ensure prescriptions arrive on time, reducing the chance of missing days between packs.
