Irish naturists flock to beaches across country as temperatures soar to 26C

Naturists have flocked to beaches around Ireland as parts of the country sizzle in sweltering conditions.

Temperatures are expected to hit 26C in parts of the country today as a mini-heatwave continues.

And after meeting on Monday at the Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, Co Dublin, nudists will be among those basking in the mild conditions over the coming days.

President of the Irish Naturist Association Pat Gallagher said the fine weather will continue to attract even more members.

He told the Irish Sun: “We hold events across the country on a regular basis and everyone is welcome.

“When you get the good weather, you always seem to attract the numbers.

“Our membership has been increasing in recent times. There are more and more events across the country.

“We always welcome new members.”

And it's good news for naturists as the warm weather looks set to continue in many parts of the country today.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "A forecaster said: "Another warm humid day with highest temperatures of 22 to 26C in southerly breezes.

"Good sunshine through the day but some cloudy periods also. Misty conditions may persist near the coast and temps will be lower."

It will be a mostly dry and humid Tuesday night, but there is the threat of an "isolated thunder shower".

Wednesday and Thursday should remain warm. However, there is the possibility of thunderstorms hitting across both days.
