Irish museum named Europe’s leading tourist attraction for third year in a row

EPIC, the Irish Emigration Museum has been voted as the top tourist attraction in the whole of Europe by The World Travel Awards.

The museum is the first to ever win the prestigious title three times in a row.

The Dublin museum centres around the stories of Irish emigrants over the past 1,500 years.

For 28 years, the museum has explored the diaspora of Ireland, from scientists to politicians, poets to artists and countless Irish outlaws that made themselves infamous across the globe.

The CEO of Tourism Ireland described the museum as “an important attraction on the itineraries of international visitors to Dublin.”

Catherine Martin, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media said: “EPIC is an excellent cultural ambassador within and for Ireland. This is a win for EPIC, for Dublin and for Irish Tourism.”

And the Jameson Distillery Bow St., the most-visited whiskey experience in the world, bagged the title for Europe’s Leading Distillery Tour 2021 for the fifth year in a row.
