The Irish Mirror has been shortlisted for several awards at this year's Journalism Awards.
IrishMirror.ie is up for the award of best News Website/News App of the year and Paul Byrne's exposition of Conor McGregor's lovechild is nominated for Scoop of the Year.
Our own 'Voice of Ireland' Pat Flanagan is nominated for the fourth year in a row and Larissa Nolan were nominated for their popular columns.
Kayla Walsh was nominated as best features writer.
Also making the shortlist were two headlines, 'Ballybrack from the Dead" and "Meth the Lord be With You" and front page 'Ex-soldier's hell living in her car' is nominated for Front Page of the Year.
Tim Vaughan, chairman of the judging panel, said: "It’s no secret that journalism is under siege but you wouldn’t know it from this year’s entries.
"They were simply outstanding across the board, speaking truth to power and revealing what otherwise would have stayed hidden, as well as informing and entertaining with insight and brilliance."
All shortlisted nominees progress to the awards event which takes place in Dublin’s Mansion House on Thursday, November 14, where the winners of the 26 categories will be announced.
