Former Bray Wanderers and Galway United midfielder Jay O'Shea has signed with Australian club Brisbane Roar.
The 30-year-old midfielder makes the move after a stellar season with English club Bury FC - bagging 15 goals and six assists as the club enjoyed promotion to League One.
A former Ireland U21 international, O'Shea has played with a host of English clubs such as Birmingham, Middlesbrough and MK Dons after making the move across the channel in 2009.
But moving down under, O'Shea is excited to begin working with head coach and Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler.
“It was exciting when I got the call from [Head Coach] Robbie Fowler, being a Premier League legend,” O’Shea said.

“I then spoke to a few of the Irish players who have played in the league, including [new teammate] Roy O’Donovan and they couldn’t rate it highly enough and said I would be crazy to not take the opportunity.
“It made the decision really easy - a lot of people I have spoken to really recommend the [Hyundai] A-League. It’s a great competition and fantastic opportunity for myself.”
The Dubliner is Fowler's ninth signing ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season, joining Cork native Roy O'Donovan.
33-year-old O'Donovan signed from Newcastle Jets this month, the former Cork City striker has bagged 39 goals in four seasons in Australia.
"It’s an exciting time to be joining the club and the chance to work with Premier League legend Robbie Fowler was a big factor in my decision," said O'Donovan.
