Irish man proving he can eat McDonald's every day and still lose weight

An Irish online coach and personal trainer is taking to TikTok in a bid to demolish the fear some people have about consuming so-called “bad food”.

Oisin Mulligan is halfway through a two-week challenge where he is eating an item from the McDonald’s menu every day to show his 12.5k followers that you can eat some of the foods you like and still lose weight.

However, the PT continues to stress in his videos that you shouldn't actually eat McDonald's every day, but rather he’s doing it to make a point about people’s belief of rules in weight loss.

Mulligan is up to day seven in his challenge and has enjoyed things like Big Macs, McFlurry ice creams, 20 nugget boxes, and Chicken Legends.

Explaining the challenge in one of his Tik Tok videos he says; “So next week I’m taking on a challenge.

“It might not sound like much of a challenge, but I’m going to be eating McDonald's every day for two weeks to show that you can lose weight while eating Mcdonald's within a calorie deficit.

“Now every meal isn't going to be McDonald's, but I'll be having one item from the menu every single day.

“There is no food that is solely going to make you put on weight, calories are the deciding factor in weight loss so that’s what I’m going to prove.”

While eating McDonald's every day Mulligan will continue to do 10,000 steps a day, and stick to his own diet throughout the rest of the day.

So far, followers of Oisin’s have responded well to the challenge with one viewer commenting; “love the message, got to remove the food fear! Great video!”

While another wrote: "Yes! I have lost 11kg and have maccas once a week as it’s in my deficit!”
