Irish man is raffling luxury Dublin penthouse for the price of a train ticket

A man is raffling a gorgeous Dublin penthouse for the small price of a train ticket.

John Goodwin is giving away the stunning apartment in the heart of the capital's Docklands.

The 1442 sq. ft. residence boasts of a large light-filled space, loft-like ceiling heights, full-length windows with breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

Mayo man John recently renovated the property transforming it into a modern sophisticated home.

The penthouse is set back from the River Liffey, just off the Samuel Beckett Bridge along the Excise Walk.

And one lucky person can win the spectacular apartment for just £50 (€50)!

John graduated from Oxford University and was director of the world-renowned entertainment company Cirque du Soleil for 15 years touring shows all over the world.

But now he wants to go back to his roots in Co Mayo and is looking forward to "long morning walks on Enniscrone beach before I start my day".

Speaking about the raffle, John said: "I was planning to sell the apartment last year. I planned to base myself in Mayo and travel less.

"My dream is to go for long morning walks on Enniscrone beach before I start my day. Have a more relaxed life. Spend time along the Wild Atlantic Way.

"I’ve travelled the world and yet there are still parts of Mayo that lay undiscovered. That was the plan - then the pandemic hit us and we were all put into lockdown.

"The COVID-19 restrictions in place meant that no one was allowed to view a house for sale. So I started to look for alternative creative ways to sell the apartment."

It was then that John discovered the online platform Raffall giving him the idea to raffle off his penthouse.

John said he needs to sell 20K tickets for the draw to go ahead and the best part is the competition is open to everyone worldwide!
