Irish man hilariously does eye test through GP's window at height of Covid rules

A Cork man has hilariously told how he had to do an eye test from outside the window of his GP during the height of Covid.

Stephen O'Mahony needed the test so he could renew his truck license, but got a surprise when he went to the local doctor and he asked him to do it from outside.

Stephen's fiance Alison waited in the car and watched the hilarious scene unfold.

This all happened back in July 2020 when Ireland had just entered phase three of the "Roadmap to Reopen Society and Business".

Gyms, hairdressers and the likes had only just reopened, so being inside a GP's office wasn't highly recommended.

Stephen told the Irish Mirror: "I was due to renew my truck licence so I was required to do an eye test and medical, rang my GP, no problem he said, went down for my appointment only to be told stay outside the window.

"It was all done through the window. My fiance Alison was in the carpark recording it having a great laugh at the show.

"I have 30/20 vison."

This was one of many pandemic memories Irish people shared on a post from social media star Rory's Stories.

What is your funniest memory from the last two years of Covid? Let us know in the comments.
