An Irishman has died after he was shot by police in Hamburg, Germany.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that they are providing "consular assistance" to the man's family.
According to reports, the 34-year-old man was shot following an alleged domestic dispute on Wednesday morning.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it was aware of the case.
