The lotto luck in the capital continues as the National Lottery confirmed a player in South Dublin is €243,959 richer.
The lucky player matched five numbers and the bonus in Wednesday night's Lotto draw.
The golden ticket was bought on the day of the draw at the An Post post office on Main Street in Shankill, Co. Dublin.
This winner fell just one number short of scooping the €3,753,612 jackpot which now rolls to an estimated €4 million on Saturday night.
The winning numbers in that draw were: 01, 18, 19, 25, 26, 42 and the bonus was 09.
This comes after one person in the capital won €500,000 on the EuroMillions Plus draw yesterday.
A National Lottery spokesperson was delighted to share this news on the same day that the National Lottery turns 32.
They said: “While the National Lottery officially celebrates its 32 birthday, there could be even bigger celebrations underway for one lucky Dublin player who scooped the €243,959 prize in last night’s Lotto draw.
"We are encouraging all of our players who may have bought a ticket in Shankill to check their numbers.
"If you are this lucky person be sure to sign the back of the ticket and call the National Lottery claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will arrange for you to collect your prize.”
