The Dublin lottery luck continues after a family in the capital celebrated their massive Lotto Plus jackpot win in the National Lottery HQ on Thursday.
The large family - who wish to keep their €1 million jackpot win private - purchased their Quick Pick ticket for 23 March's draw at the Tesco store in the seaside town of Rush.

The family remained completely oblivious to the Lotto celebrations taking place in their nearby Tesco store the morning following the draw.

They said that they only found out about their massive new fortune when their father came across his lucky numbers in the newspaper on Sunday evening.

The dad said: “I spent most of the day flipping through the Sunday paper and all of the supplements and it wasn’t until I got to the front of the paper where the Lotto numbers were listed that I remembered to check my ticket.
"My mouth absolutely dropped when I saw all of my six numbers but I was convinced I had made a mistake."
He continued: "I told myself that my ticket could have been for another draw or something so I didn’t get carried away at all. I must have checked my numbers a hundred times before I realised that we’d won.
"When I eventually told all of the family, they thought I was absolutely barking mad. They took a lot of convincing before they would believe me.”
The numbers for that draw were: 8, 24, 27, 38, 39, 40 and the bonus was 2.
