Dublin has a new millionaire and the lucky punter bought their winning ticket in a northside shop, it has been revealed.
The National Lottery has said that the EuroMillions ticket for Friday night’s (6 December) EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’, worth €1 million, was sold in Finglas.
The ticket was sold at Paul’s Newsagent in the Dunnes Stores Shopping Centre on Cardiffsbridge Road.
Louise O’Reilly who is a manager at the shop said: “We are absolutely buzzing to hear this news today and I’m looking forward to spreading the word to all our local customers, which makes up the vast majority of our trade.
"Paul’s Newsagency has been in business for more than 35 years – even predating the National Lottery so we are part of the Finglas community. I really hope it is a regular customer, It would be fantastic news for the Finglas area so I wish the winner all the luck in the world.”
This was the second of two such raffle events held last week which were both won in the capital city. Each EuroMillions ticket sold in Ireland has a unique ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ code and this winning code number is IHKS43344.
As well as this, The National Lottery is appealing to punters in Kilkenny to check their tickets as someone scooped the Lotto jackpot last night worth €6,834,410.
The winning Lotto numbers are: 13, 16, 18, 25, 38, 41 and the bonus number was 1.

The spokesperson for the National Lottery said: "If you are the winner of one of these incredible prizes, be sure to sign the back of your ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery prize claims team as soon as you can on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to come to the Winner’s Room and collect your prize in time for Christmas."
