It was confirmed on Friday that all NI Football League fixtures will be suspended until April 4.
The Irish FA imposed the ban due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
How long the suspension stays in place remains to be seen, but it arrives at a difficult juncture for local football chiefs.
The 'split' is due to come into force at the start of next month, and even though the top and bottom six are already decided, the standings which determine the post-split fixture schedule have yet to be finalised.
The league is also running out of time to reschedule fixtures before the Premiership season is due to finish on April 25.
As it stands, every Premiership club just has two league fixtures remaining before April 4.
The Irish Cup semi-finals also fall at the end of this month.
