Irish kids make funny coronavirus song to the tune of Dance Monkey

We appreciate that the world is in an incredibly tough and challenging time, however these kids brought a smile to our faces with their creativity.

This coronavirus song was written by two Limerick kids as part of the St Paddy's Day virtual parade.

The song is written to the tune of hit song Dance Monkey by Tones and I and shows the type of creative ways kids can pass their time as their schools are shut down.

Brothers Eoin and Tadhg Bruff, aged nine and 12, wrote the hilarious lyrics about the coronavirus with lines like "They say oh my God I see a coughing guy".

In the video, the boys begin by wearing sanitary masks while the song's backing track plays in the background.

The boys wrote the song as part of a virtual Paddy's Day parade for their stage school Gemstars to pass the time in isolation.

The brothers have a huge smile on their faces throughout the video and will certainly bring a big smile to yours.

The video comes as hundreds of young people across Ireland take part in online challenges to beat the blues while staying at home.

RTE 2fm have kickstarted a daily challenge called #CreateDontContaminate and aims to create a movement to give people energy and keep their spirits up while helping to keep families and communities safe.
