Irish journalists angered by reporter's arrest

The arrest of an Irish reporter by detectives investigating the leak of an official report critical of the police force has been widely condemned by the country's journalists. Sunday Tribune crime correspondent Mick McCaffrey was released yesterday after being questioned. He was working for the Evening Herald last August when the newspaper ran a story which alleged that police had pressured a homeless drug addict to falsely confess to a double murder.
