Irish job hunters reveal ‘the most ridiculous questions’ they’ve been asked in interviews

Irish job hunters have been revealing the most ridiculous questions they’ve been asked in past interviews.

As job hunting gets underway for thousands of people post-Covid, being prepared for bizarre questions is a necessity.

Oftentimes, interviewers will throw an unexpected question your way to determine how you deal under pressure and to see if you can think on your feet.

One Irish interviewee took to Reddit to reveal the details of a strange interview he recently had, and since posting, thousands of Irish people have been responding with their experiences in search of employment.

It seems companies in Ireland love to throw a curveball in the mix when working their way through hundreds of interview scenarios.

The original poster started the thread by saying he was being trialled for a HR position here in Ireland, and was asked “If you were a sausage, what type of sausage would you be?"

The anonymous person responded saying; "I would most like to be an employed sausage."

His funny story led to hundreds of people adding their hilarious experiences into the mix, with one saying he was asked: "If you were an ice cream flavour, what flavour would you be?"

They responded; “I spat out an answer about mint and claimed my mother died from a tragic ice cream related incident to get some sympathy points.”

A third was asked, "Are you sensitive?"

To which they said; "If I see a broken flower, I cry.

“Yer man had no clue how to handle this and the two partners in the company were dying laughing and trying hard not to show it.”
