Irish job ad typo has people in stitches over accidental movie star reference

A job advertisement for a barista in Kerry has become the (head) butt of many jokes thanks to its accidental reference to a world champion wrestler and movie star.

The post seems fairly standard at first glance - Killarney bus station is looking to hire someone to work in their cafe.

The individual must be able to work full-time for €11 per hour and be "experienced, fully-qualified and well mannered with good communication skills".

But instead of the correct job title being listed, ie a barista, the ad on Indeed.ie says 'Batista'.

For those unfamiliar with the world of professional wrestling, this might seem like an unfortunate typo.

Now hiring: a six-time wrestling champ. (Indeed.ie)

But those who follow Dave Bautista, or Batista as he's known in the ring, have seized upon the opportunity to take to social media with their brilliant reactions to the post.

Batista is an American actor and retired professional wrestler who became a six-time world champion by winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice.

Marvel fans will of course recognise him as Drax from the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers film series'.

He has already been given the meme treatment for his 'Give Me What I Want' saying during a promo in 2019.

Now Irish Twitter has made their own, with one user going viral for his photoshopping skills of Batista behind a cafe counter.

The Tweet has been shared far beyond Irish shores, but unfortunately there's been no response from Batista himself...yet.

"I work for €11 an hour inside this pit of danger!" one person captioned the picture.

"I want the job. Give me what I want," said another, while someone else added: "Heard his coffee is the bomb".

Meanwhile, a popular wrestling news site joked: "This makes achieving my childhood dream of being Batista a lot more viable!"

The ad, only posted two days ago, has also taken off on Reddit where it has been 'upvoted' almost 600 times.
