Irish investors trade Glasgow joinery outlet for £790,000

The unit occupied by Howden Joinery 's trade counter in Thornliebank, Glasgow, has been sold from one Irish owner to another for around £790,000.

The 10,149 sq ft property is leased to the building trade firm for £55,858 a year until May 2026 and will bring an initial net yield of 6.7% to its new owner.

Ryden acted for the seller, a private Irish investor, and CBRE for the buyer on the deal for the building at Spiersbridge Industrial Estate seven miles from the city centre.

Derek Archer, investment associate at Ryden, said: “With current positive dynamics within the industrial sector, there was strong investor interest in this asset which contributed to a very pleasing outcome for our client on the sale."

Howden is a major UK-wide outlet for kitchens, bathrooms flooring, doors and other trade materials.
