Irish granny reduced to tears as surprise singer perfects Pavarotti song during wedding in Belfast

An Irish Granny was reduced to tears during a surprise performance of Luciano Pavarotti's famous 'Nessun Dorma' at a wedding recently.

During her nephew's wedding in the Europa hotel, Belfast, Granny May began to cry as wedding performer Conor Taggart sang the classic opera song.

In the video, Conor sings to a crowd of wedding guests when May comes up to him and grasps his hand.

As the song continues she becomes emotional, wiping away tears as she gives Conor a peck on the cheek.

Conor said: "We perform at a lot of events, but it is a rarity when people like this in the world come up and show their true passion for music and performance.

"This lovely lady was so entranced in the performance that she shook and cried with joy.

"These are the moments that we will remember forever and that make performing the best job in world."

Conor is a member of the Singers Secreto interactive surprise show that perform at weddings and events all around the country.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Conor said: "Singers Secreto is an interactive surprise show, that begins with the undercover waiter blending in and serving guests at the event.

"The waiter then suddenly trips over a chair and drops a huge tray of cutlery.

"The guests run over to help him when the music begins and we jump up off the ground and burst into song.

"The show then consists of getting the entire room on their feet, singing along, waving their napkins in the air and creating a huge conga line around the room."
