An Irish grandad has put his hat in the ring for best costume of Halloween 2021 after dressing up as his lookalike from the movie UP.
Mick Byrne, 83, dressed up as Mr.Fredricksen from the Pixar movie UP after being told for years he looked like the animated character.
And it proved a huge success with young visitors to Mick's house in Ballybrack, Co Dublin delighted.
Mick told the Irish Mirror: "What inspired me was my family,for years they have told me I look like the real life Mr.Fredricksen. I never really dressed up as much as I did this year,but after missing out seeing all the kids last year due to Covid I missed it all.
"And I really wanted to give them all a surprise this year,and with the help of my granddaughter Eboney I was able to pull it off, the reaction was amazing, all the kids that came to the door knew exactly who I was and their little faces made it all worth it."
