An Irish GP has said it is "starting to feel like March again" with second wave fears heightened.
Dr Maitiu O Tuathail, the former head of the GP union has been vocal about a second wave coming and now believes it's on the horizon.
Dr O Tuathail said his day is now inundated with Covid related calls and believes things are nearly as bad as in March.
The doctor tweeted: "It’s really starting to feel like March 2020 all over again.
"Getting an alarming increase in requests for Covid testing and it’s trending upwards.

"My day so far has been all Covid related - for the first time in weeks It’s worrying."
The Athlone GP warned two weeks ago after scenes outside Dublin pubs that he believed a second wave was about to hit.
He said at the time: "After last night, I really think we’re weeks away from a second wave."
The doctor added it was a "slap in the face to those who have broken their backs to keep the country working".
NPHET has already prepared for a jump in cases next week but are asking the public to make sure that doesn't continue.
Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn and Professor Phillip Nolan said we are in a "precarious" position after the recent spike.
The top doctor said that the cases next week are now out of their hands but people can lower the figures the following weeks by heeding public health advice.
He said: "The cases which we will report next week have already been seeded, however we have the power to limit the spread and impact of this disease beyond that; the way we do so is through following public health advice, avoiding high risk situations and encouraging our friends and family to do the same."
