Irish girls at centre of urgent missing persons appeal found after four-day search

Two Irish girls at the centre of an urgent missing persons appeal have been found safe and well after a four-day search, gardai have said.

Nikita and Simone Twomey had gone missing on Tuesday, September 28, with officers said to have been extremely concerned for their welfare.

The girls, aged 13 and 12 respectively, had last been seen at 4pm that day in the Red Cow area of Clondalkin, west Dublin.

Thankfully, gardai said in a statement tonight: "Nikita (13 years) and Simone (12 years) Twomey, who had been missing since 28th September 2021, have been located safe and well.

"We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter."
