Irish girl, 17, airlifted to hospital after falling into blow hole on Cork island

A 17-year-old had to be airlifted to hospital after suffering a serious fall on an island in West Cork this afternoon.

The girl was with her family at the time when she reportedly fell 10 meters in a blow hole on the island at around 5pm this afternoon, RTE reports.

The incident occurred on East Skeam Island in Roaring Water Bay, between Baltimore and Skibbereen.
