Thousands of Irish fans have been left disappointed after tickets for Olivia Rodrigo's gigs in Dublin and Cork next summer both sold out within minutes.
The pop sensation will play Fairview Park and Live at the Marquee on consecutive nights in June of next year, with fans hopeful of grabbing a ticket to the gigs when they went on sale this morning.
However, having gone on sale at 9am sharp, they were all gone within 10 minutes.
Almost 40,000 people were in the queue on Ticketmaster at one point - with Fairview Park only being able to hold 5,000 capacity.
One angry user tweeted: "What tickets? Waited on the queue forever and then there was no tickets!!! Add another date please."
A second agreed, saying: "Seriously sort out your website. In a queue for Olivia Rodrigo at 08:50. Position 902 when I get in for just under 5k tickets and I still didn't get them. Ridiculous"
While a third said: "Was in the queue since 8:55 got in at 9:01, 3000 ahead of me and couldn’t get any tickets for my daughter and her friends, on another device there was 38,000 in front of me, I think they underestimated how popular she is! Hopefully she adds another date."
And things only got worse from there, as tickets for the concerts started popping up on resale sites almost immediately - for five times the price.
"How can they be allowed to resell the tickets when there is a law in place banning resale of tickets???" asked one person.
"I thought scalping was illegal these days? 4 family members looking for tickets at 9am and no luck, but these are now for sale???" noted a second.
A number of venues and event organisers have applied for a special designation under the new Sale of Tickets Act 2021, which came into law on July 31, and is intended to stamp out touting.
However, it does not appear Fairview Park or Live at the Marquee are part of that list.
