Irish Cup final could see 500 spectators in attendance

Five hundred spectators could end up attending next week's Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup final.

It is understood that is an option currently being considered by the Irish FA.

Any attendance will depend on a green light being given by the NI Executive, with local government officials expected to offer more clarity on Thursday.

The IFA is believed to be keeping the situation under review, ahead of the showpiece final at Windsor Park next Friday, July 31.

The two semi-finals - which will be held at the same venue on Monday, July 27 - are both being played behind closed doors.

Belfast Live Sport understands up to 500 people could attend the final if permitted by government officials.

That figure would include 200 people representing each club, with life members, season ticket holders and volunteers likely to take priority in any allocation.

Monday's semi-finals feature Coleraine vs Ballymena United and Glentoran vs Cliftonville.

Both games and the final will be shown live by BBC Sport Northern Ireland.
